4 Modules
The complete course consists of 4 video modules and 2 PDF manuals which include self-assessment
Module 1 – System Overview
At the end of this module the learners will be able to:
• Describe the fundamental principles of a typical air-cooled, vapour compression refrigeration system
• Explain the purpose and function of the major components, which comprise a typical mechanical refrigeration system
Module 2 – Tubework
At the end of this module the learners will be able to:
• Identify ACR tubing
• Correctly handle and cut ACR tubing
• Create flared ends
• Create swaged joints
• Create crimped joints
• Create accurate bends
Module 3 – Service Procedures (1)
At the end of this module the learners will be able to:
• Describe the functioning of a typical gauge-manifold
• Correctly connect a gauge-manifold and set service valves
• Perform a pressure and leak test on an air-cooled refrigeration unit
• Perform an evacuation and vacuum analysis to an air-cooled refrigeration unit
Module 4 – Service Procedures (2)
At the end of this module the learners will be able to:
• Perform a vapour-charge to an air-cooled refrigeration system
• Describe / demonstrate basic maintenance and diagnostic test procedures
