Module 1 – An Overview of Electrical Test Equipment
At the end of this module learners will be able to:
• Identify voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, multimeters, live line testers and earth leakage tester
• Describe the purpose of each instrument
• Describe basic safety aspects for using above-mentioned testing equipment
Module 2 – Using & Reading Multimeters
At the end of this module learners will be able to:
• Use and read both digital and analogue type multimeters in typical situations
• Maintain multimeters
Module 3 – Using & Reading Insulation Testers
At the end of this module learners will be able to:
• Use and read insulation testers in typical situations
Module 4 – Using & Reading Probe & Earth Leakage Testers
At the end of this module learners will be able to:
• Use and read live line testers
• Use and read earth leakage testers
• Diagnose basic faults in a circuit
